On a fateful Saturday in Raiwind City, a 14-year-old boy fell victim to a heinous crime. The suspect, Jawad Ahmad, lured the innocent victim to a nearby square where he committed the despicable act of rape. The young boy bravely called for help, causing the suspect to flee the scene. The authorities have since apprehended the perpetrator and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.

Tragic Roof Collapses Claim Lives

Tragedy struck in Lahore as the roofs of two separate houses collapsed, resulting in devastating consequences. In one incident, a 65-year-old man named Munir lost his life when a fire engulfed his home in Khokhar City, causing a portion of the roof to cave in. Meanwhile, in Jallo Mor, two young girls, Alina and Lashawar, aged 12 and 10 respectively, were injured when a similar roof collapse occurred due to a fire outbreak. The victims were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Improving Police Services at Hospitals

Amidst these tragic events, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has pledged to enhance the services provided at police khidmat counters within hospitals. In alignment with the vision of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, efforts will be made to bolster the quality of facilities and increase the efficiency of these vital services with the collaboration of the health department. During a meeting with Provincial Ministers for Healthcare, Dr. Anwar emphasised the importance of public health initiatives, particularly in assisting the transgender community with essential health screenings and tests.

Crackdown on Kite Flying Violations

Under the leadership of Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a stringent campaign against kite flying violations, including the use of metal strings, is underway across the province. In the past 24 hours alone, 40 suspects have been arrested under the Kite Flying Act, with a significant number of kites and string wheels seized from their possession. This ongoing crackdown aims to curb the dangerous practice of kite flying and ensure public safety within the region.
