The victim was reportedly abducted by a businessman named Karthik and his friend Gokul on Friday, leading to his tragic demise. A manhunt has been launched for four others involved in the case.
Srinivasan had initially lured Karthik, a fruit merchant, and Gokul, a businessman, to invest in shares by promising lucrative returns. As more friends were introduced to Srinivasan and invested in shares, he relocated from Chengalpet to Gopalapuram in Chennai. However, as the returns dwindled, Karthik and Gokul tracked him down, only to find out about his massive losses in the trading business.
The situation escalated when Karthik and Gokul demanded Srinivasan to return the money to their friends. In a desperate attempt to recover the funds, the duo abducted Srinivasan and took him to Karthik’s fruit godown. After threatening him, they left him there. Tragically, Srinivasan was found dead inside the godown the next day, with electric wires tied around his neck.
The discovery of Srinivasan’s lifeless body prompted Karthik and Gokul to alert the authorities, leading to their arrest. The police investigation is ongoing, with efforts to locate the remaining suspects in the case. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangers of financial dealings gone awry.
