The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect vehicle connected to a homicide that occurred on April 2 on the 2100 block of 9th Street, NW.
Details of the Incident
On the fateful night of April 2, tragedy struck the quiet streets of the 2100 block of 9th Street, NW, as gunshots echoed through the neighbourhood. The sound of sirens pierced the air as officers rushed to the scene, where they found 19-year-old Marquis Ward with multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the swift actions of emergency responders, Ward tragically succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The community was left reeling from the loss of a young life taken too soon.
Amidst the chaos, a second victim was discovered, suffering from a graze wound, a grim reminder of the violence that unfolded on that fateful night.
