The Fatal Shooting at Brookland-Catholic University Metro Station
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating a tragic incident that took place on April 4 at the Brookland-Catholic University Metro Station situated on the 800 block of Monroe Street, NE, in Washington, D.C.
Reports from MPD documents indicate that officers from the Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) responded to the station following a distressing call regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a young teenager with gunshot wounds. Despite all attempts to save the victim’s life, the teenager, identified as 14-year-old Avion Evans, tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect involved in this shocking development was caught on surveillance footage, which is currently being used by law enforcement to aid in their investigation.
