Delhi, UK: A disturbing and tragic incident unfolded in the quiet neighbourhood of Nihal Vihar in Delhi, as a 42-year-old man took the lives of his wife and four-year-old daughter before ending his own life, leaving behind a scene of horror and despair. The shocking discovery was made by his son, who returned home from work on a fateful Friday morning.
The bodies of Ajay, Teena (38), and their daughter Varsha were found by the police after receiving a distressing call. The family resided in Gali no 5 in Nihal Vihar, where the gruesome event took place.

Police Investigation Unfolds
Upon investigation, it was revealed that Ajay was found hanging by a ceiling fan with blood on his body. Teena and Varsha were found lying lifeless on the bed, with signs of a violent attack using a sharp weapon. The room’s door was locked from the inside, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer) Jimmy Chiram stated, “The crime and forensic science teams have been summoned to the spot, and further investigation is underway. Ajay, who worked as a halwai, has a 22-year-old son named Kushal, who is an electrician. Kushal made the harrowing discovery upon returning home.”
The authorities suspect that Ajay committed the heinous act of murdering his wife and daughter before taking his own life. A case has been registered under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code as the investigation continues.
Another Tragic Incident Rocks the National Capital
In a separate incident, a constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) tragically ended his own life at Nangloi Metro Station. The constable, who had been posted in Delhi since January 2022, was found dead with a gunshot wound on his forehead near a baggage scanning machine at the metro station.
The shocking incidents have left the community in Nihal Vihar and the national capital reeling with disbelief and sadness, raising questions about mental health and the underlying causes of such tragic events.
