Arrest Made in Connection with Shooting Death of Brother

A man sought in connection with the shooting death of his brother has been apprehended in Maine. The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office reported that Brockton Police responded to a 911 call about a shooting at 36 Hoover Ave at around 2:17 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot in the chest. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Sedrick Abreu, was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Two Men Arrested as Accessories to the Homicide

Following the incident, a search warrant was executed at 36 Hoover Ave, resulting in the arrest of two men, 24-year-old Sirick Amado and 26-year-old Antonio Dejesus. Both individuals were charged with Accessory to the Homicide and pleaded not guilty at their arraignments in Brockton District Court. They were ordered to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Suspect Apprehended in Lewiston, Maine

A warrant was also issued for the victim’s brother, 20-year-old Jeremiah Abreu, who was taken into custody at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday while leaving a residence in Lewiston, Maine. Abreu is set to be arraigned on a Murder charge in Brockton District Court at a later date.
