Anton Rucker was previously convicted of aggravated assault, Nashville police said.

The incident occurred at Roasted, a popular Nashville restaurant, where one person was tragically killed and at least five others were wounded during the Easter brunch event.

Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron stated, “This was not a shootout; it was one person who decided to pull a gun during an altercation and fired multiple shots.”

Anton Rucker, a convicted felon, fled the scene in a Mercedes SUV, according to authorities.

The victim of the shooting has been identified as Allen Beachem, 33, as confirmed by the Nashville police.

While the names of the wounded individuals were not disclosed, it was reported that they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
