Identity of Skeletal Remains Found in White Oak Finally Revealed
After months of uncertainty, the skeletal remains discovered in White Oak back in March have been positively identified as belonging to Nicholas Miljus, a man who had been reported missing since September and was last seen on May 12, 2023.
Discovery of the Remains
The remains were found on March 16 in the 700 block of O’Neil Boulevard at 5:30 p.m. by local authorities who were conducting a search in the area. The discovery sent shockwaves through the community, raising questions about the circumstances surrounding Miljus’ disappearance.
Confirmation by the Medical Examiner
Following the discovery, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office worked tirelessly to confirm the identity of the remains. On Friday, March 29, it was officially announced that the skeletal remains did indeed belong to Nicholas Miljus.
