Heather Corey, a resident of Palmyra, was simply crossing the road near the Walmart store when tragedy struck. A Dodge minivan, driven by 80-year-old Gerald Heskett, collided with her as she made her way towards a dollar store across the street. The impact was severe, and Corey was rushed to Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield, where she was later pronounced dead.
