At least three individuals tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents in Khulna and Dhaka yesterday, as reported by our dedicated correspondents.

**Fatal Collision in Khulna**

In Khulna, a devastating incident occurred when a cement-carrying truck collided with a bicycle on the Meherpur-Chuadanga road in the Chandbil area. The collision resulted in the untimely deaths of two individuals. The deceased were identified as Hasan Ali, a 21-year-old resident of Chandbil village.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Circle) Abdul Karim stated that the tragic accident claimed the lives of the bicycle riders instantly. Upon receiving information about the incident, two teams comprising of fire service personnel and police officers rushed to the scene. The truck driver, identified as Babul, was subsequently apprehended.

The bodies of the deceased were transported to the morgue at Meherpur General Hospital for further investigation through autopsy procedures.

**Fatal Accident in Dhaka**

In a separate incident in Dhaka, a 60-year-old man named Anisur Rahman lost his life after being struck by a private car in the Dhanmondi area. Rahman, who worked as a security guard at a factory in Jurain, was crossing Mirpur Road near Labaid Hospital around 1:30 am when the tragic accident occurred.

According to Monirul Islam, a sub-inspector at Dhanmondi Police Station, Rahman sustained critical injuries from the collision with the private car. He was immediately rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for emergency medical treatment. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Rahman tragically passed away around 3:30 am. The driver of the private car fled the scene following the incident.

Rahman’s body was subsequently transferred to the hospital’s morgue for a thorough autopsy examination.
