A 25-year-old YouTuber and Instagram influencer was recently arrested by the Delhi Police for his reckless actions on a busy flyover in the national capital. Pradeep Dhaka, a resident of Chajju Ram Colony, Nangloi, was taken into custody after he was caught performing dangerous stunts with his SUV and setting a police barricade on fire, all in the name of creating content for social media.
The incident took place on the main flyover of the outer ring road at Paschim Vihar, where Dhaka’s modified car was seen blocking the road and causing a significant traffic jam. The police were alerted to the situation after videos of the YouTuber’s reckless behavior surfaced on social media platforms. In one video, Dhaka can be seen performing stunts with his ISUZU HI-Lander 2WD MT, while in another, he is shown setting a police barricade on fire after dousing it with a chemical.
After identifying Dhaka through his social media profile, the police took immediate action and arrested him from his residence. In addition to facing charges for traffic violations and damaging government property, Dhaka and his family members were also booked for obstructing public servants from carrying out their duties. The police impounded his vehicle and issued a fine of Rs 36,000 against him.
Furthermore, fake plastic weapons were found in Dhaka’s vehicle, leading to additional charges being filed against him. The case has been registered at the Nihal Vihar police station, where the second video of him burning the barricade was filmed. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jimmy Chiram, has urged all content creators to adhere to traffic rules and obtain proper permissions before filming such videos.
