Three young men tragically lost their lives while bathing at the Karenti Ganga Ghat in Pratapgarh. The incident occurred on Friday when Shubham Pal, Aditya Jaiswal, and Abhishek Patel, all aged between 20 and 21 and from Kaushambi district, were enjoying a swim in the holy waters of the Ganga. Unfortunately, they slipped into deep water and drowned before their friends could rescue them.
Their friends, Abhishek Kumar and Shashank, who had accompanied them to the ghat under the Manikpur police station, immediately called for help from locals. Despite their efforts, the rescue attempts were unsuccessful, and the authorities had to intervene. With the assistance of divers, the body of Aditya Jaiswal was recovered late Friday night, while Shubham Pal’s body was found the following day. The search for Abhishek Patel’s body is still ongoing, as authorities continue their efforts to locate him.
