Israel Defense Forces Eliminate Four Senior Hamas Leaders in Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported a successful operation in Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital, where they managed to neutralize four senior Hamas leaders. This development marks a significant blow to the terror outfit’s leadership in the region.

Identification of Deceased Hamas Leaders

The deceased individuals have been identified as Raad Thabet, who held the position of head of Hamas’s recruitment and supply acquisition. Additionally, Mahmoud Khalil Zakzuk, the deputy commander of the Hamas rocket unit in Gaza City, was also among those eliminated by the IDF.

Two other senior Hamas operatives, Fadi Dweik and Zakaria Najib, were also part of the targeted group. Dweik, a senior intelligence officer of Hamas, was previously involved in a shooting incident in the West Bank in 2002, resulting in the deaths of four Israeli citizens. Zakaria Najib, on the other hand, was a senior operative in Hamas’s West Bank headquarters, responsible for planning and executing attacks on Israel in the region.

Continuing Exchange of Fire

The IDF has confirmed that the exchange of fire is ongoing within the premises of Al-Shifa hospital. According to reports, approximately 200 Hamas operatives have been neutralized by the IDF within the hospital compound. In addition to the hospital operations, the IDF also successfully eliminated several Hamas gunmen in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis area.

Furthermore, the Israel Air Force conducted aerial attacks in the al-Amal and al-Quarara regions to provide support for the ground invasion carried out by the IDF troops. These coordinated efforts aim to disrupt Hamas’s operations and ensure the safety and security of Israeli citizens.
