Four members of a family, including an infant, tragically died of asphyxiation in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district after a fire engulfed their home. The blaze started on the first floor of the house while the family was asleep, and they were unable to escape due to power outage caused by the fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found a couple, their 8-month-old daughter, and the man’s mother unconscious. Despite efforts to save them, they were pronounced dead at a government hospital. The fire is believed to have been sparked by an air conditioner malfunction. The victims have been identified as Pawan Upadhyay, his wife Tithi, daughter Dhyana, and mother Bhavaniben.

Tragedy struck a family in Gujarat’s Devbhumi Dwarka district when a devastating fire claimed the lives of four individuals, including an infant. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, leaving a community in mourning.
The fire broke out on the first floor of a residential property situated on Aditya Road in Dwarka city at approximately 3:30 am. As the flames engulfed their home, the family of five found themselves trapped in a desperate situation.

Unfortunately, due to a power outage resulting from the fire, the family members were unable to locate the exit door, leading to a tragic outcome. Despite the valiant efforts of firefighters who arrived promptly on the scene, the situation proved fatal for the family.
Upon their arrival, fire personnel discovered a couple, their 8-month-old daughter, and the man’s mother unconscious on the first floor of the house. Despite being rushed to a nearby government hospital, the medical team declared them deceased upon arrival.
Amidst the devastating turn of events, the man’s grandmother, who was sleeping on the ground floor of the property, miraculously escaped unscathed from the blaze.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been triggered by a malfunction in an air conditioner, leading to a catastrophic chain of events. Forensic experts have been called in to determine the exact cause of the tragic incident.
The victims have been identified as Pawan Upadhyay (39), his wife Tithi (29), their daughter Dhyana, and Pawan’s mother Bhavaniben (69). Their untimely demise has left a void in the community, with friends and relatives coming to terms with the tragic loss.
