This unfortunate event took place in Ward No 17 in Birati of North Dum Dum municipal area, where Keya Sharma Chowdhury was standing under the house, talking on the phone, when a brick from the construction site fell on her head, resulting in her untimely death.

The victim’s husband, Sudip Sharma Chowdhury, immediately filed a complaint with the police against the promoter of the illegal construction. The complaint named promoter Gautam Dey, along with his associates Saju Sen, Tapanbha Ghosh, and high-rise builder Ajay Roy.
