A man in Aurora has pleaded guilty to a gruesome crime where he strangled a woman and then ran over her in a parking lot. Jordan Howard, 26, entered a guilty plea for reckless manslaughter in Arapahoe County District Court. He has been sentenced to five years in the Colorado Department of Corrections, with credit for time served.
The tragic incident took place on March 4, 2022, at an apartment complex near East 11th Avenue and Peoria Street in Aurora. The Aurora Police Department responded to a call and found an injured woman in the parking lot. She recounted to investigators that a man she had met had driven her to that location and proceeded to strangle her until she lost consciousness.
After the brutal act, the man, later identified as Jordan Howard, callously pushed the woman out of the car and ran over her before fleeing the scene. The victim lay in the parking lot for over two hours before being discovered by authorities.
