A devastating tragedy struck the Dhaka University (DU) campus in the early hours of Sunday as the lifeless body of a young female student was discovered in her family home on Fuller Road. The deceased, identified as Adrita Binte Mosharraf, was only 21 years old and a first-year student in the Management Department. She resided with her family on the third floor of residential building number 19 within the university grounds.

The heartbreaking news emerged when family members found Adrita’s body hanging from the ceiling fan, indicating a tragic case of suicide.
