The Tragic Incident at Fullerton McDonald’s
Police officers in Fullerton, responding to a call from a concerned McDonald’s manager, found themselves in a tense situation on the early morning of March 6. The location of the incident was the McDonald’s restaurant at 1341 S. Brookhurst Road, just south of Orangethorpe Avenue. Two men were reported to be behaving erratically near the entrance, prompting fears for the safety of employees arriving for the morning shift.

Intense Confrontation Unfolds
Upon arrival, officers encountered a shirtless man, later identified as Alejandro Campos Rios, 50, of Buena Park. Rios was wielding a belt and exhibiting bizarre behavior, speaking in both English and Spanish, and at times singing. The officers observed him fighting imaginary foes and behaving in a manner consistent with someone under the influence of drugs. The situation escalated quickly as Rios refused to comply with commands to drop the belt and sit down.
