The lawsuit also alleges that Figueroa lied about her age to Fletcher, claiming she was 25 when she was actually 30, and that she attempted to extort money from him in exchange for not going public with the allegations.
“Ms. Figueroa made these false statements with knowledge of their falsity or with reckless disregard for the truth,” the lawsuit states. “She knew that, by publicly accusing Mr. Fletcher of sexual harassment and assault, she would damage his reputation, career, and livelihood.”
As the legal battle continues to play out in court, both Fletcher and Figueroa have maintained their innocence and their respective positions on the allegations.
