Tacoma, WA – Tragedy struck early Saturday morning on Interstate 5 in Tacoma, as a Texas man lost his life in a hit-and-run collision. The incident took place in the southbound lanes of I-5 near the State Route 16 interchange in Tacoma, Washington. Authorities reported that a car, for reasons yet to be determined, was stationary in two lanes of southbound I-5, positioned perpendicularly when it was struck by another vehicle traveling down the interstate.
The driver of the stationary vehicle, a 39-year-old man from Temple, Texas, tragically lost his life in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, believed to have sustained injuries in the collision, fled the scene after their vehicle was totaled.
