The FBI Arrests Actor Nolan Freeman for Capitol Attack

The FBI has made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, by identifying and arresting actor Nolan Freeman. The NCIS and Shameless star was apprehended on March 19 in Carson City, Nevada, after surveillance footage allegedly showed him crawling through a shattered window and illegally entering the Capitol building during the certification of the 2020 election.

Freeman’s arrest came after an extensive investigation that involved a grand jury subpoenaing airline records related to the events of January 6. It was discovered that the Days of Our Lives actor had traveled from Sacramento to Washington D.C. on January 4, 2021, and returned to Nevada on January 8. The FBI further traced his phone records, alleging that his mobile phone was present inside the Capitol building during the insurrection.

According to the FBI Statement of Fact, Freeman reportedly spent a total of 26 minutes inside the Capitol. He was observed in various locations within the building, including the Upper House Door, Memorial Door, Crypt East, East Stairs, and the Main Door Hall. The actor was identified as wearing a red hat, hoodie, and black jeans during the incident.

As a result of his alleged actions, Freeman is now facing four charges, including disorderly conduct within the Capitol. This makes him the seventh individual from Nevada to be charged in connection with the January 6 attacks. The FBI has been relentless in its pursuit of justice, having apprehended over 1,300 individuals across the United States for offenses related to the Capitol breach. More than 450 people have been charged with assaulting or obstructing law enforcement in connection with the events of that day.
