A sixth suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old man and his pregnant wife in Bowmanville, Ontario. Durham Regional Police revealed that three masked suspects shot the victims at close range in their home on Crombie Street. The victims, Aram Kamehl and Rafad Alzubaidy, were fatally shot, with Alzubaidy six months pregnant at the time. The police believe it was a targeted killing, not a robbery. Yancy William, 24, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Five other suspects have also been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Murder Investigation Update in Bowmanville, Ontario
A sixth suspect has been apprehended in connection with the tragic murder of a 28-year-old man and his pregnant wife in Bowmanville, Ontario, the police confirmed on Friday.
Details of the Incident
According to Durham Regional Police, the shocking incident took place in the early hours of February 4, 2023, when three masked individuals armed with weapons arrived at a residence on Crombie Street. Upon entering the home, the suspects opened fire on the victims at close range, resulting in the deaths of 28-year-old Aram Kamehl and his 26-year-old pregnant wife, Rafad Alzubaidy.
The police have determined that the attack was a targeted killing and not a random act of violence, as stated by Det.-Sgt. Brad Corner during a press conference held earlier in March.
Arrest of the Sixth Suspect
On Friday, authorities executed a search warrant at a property in Toronto, leading to the arrest of 24-year-old Yancy William. William has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the case, although the charge has yet to be proven in court.

Previous Arrests
Prior to William’s arrest, five other suspects had been charged in connection with the double homicide. These individuals include 22-year-old Demouy Blair, 27-year-old Rocky Steve Stevenson, 22-year-olds Illia Ayo and Abdinisar Aden, and 21-year-old Emmanuel Ezbon, all facing two counts of first-degree murder.
Investigators have confirmed that they are not seeking any additional suspects in relation to the murders.
