Two men from Birmingham have been arrested in Panama City Beach, with another man from Fultondale wanted in connection to an armed robbery and shooting incident. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida responded to a residence on Thomas Drive early Thursday morning where the resident reported being contacted by visitors from Birmingham looking to buy marijuana. After a dispute over the amount purchased, two men returned with guns and ski masks, resulting in a shootout with the homeowner. The Incident in Panama City Beach, Florida

Panama City Beach, located in the beautiful state of Florida, known for its stunning beaches and vibrant atmosphere, was the site of a harrowing armed robbery and shooting. In the early hours of the morning on March 28, a resident on Thomas Drive found himself in a terrifying situation that would unfold into a dramatic series of events.

The Unfolding of Events

According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the resident was contacted by visitors from Birmingham who expressed interest in purchasing marijuana. What started as a seemingly ordinary transaction quickly escalated when the visitors returned, claiming they had not received an adequate amount of marijuana for the money they spent.

Tensions rose as the situation took a dangerous turn, with two of the visitors re-entering the residence wearing ski masks and brandishing guns. In a split second decision, the resident retrieved a gun of his own, leading to a chaotic exchange of gunfire.

The Aftermath and Arrests

Amidst the chaos, one of the visitors was injured in the gunfire exchange. The swift actions of the resident prompted the remaining visitors to flee the scene, leaving behind a trail of uncertainty and fear.

Thanks to the real-time crime center in Bay County and the Panama City Beach PD, two of the suspects were swiftly located at a condo on Front Beach Road. One of the suspects, suffering from a gunshot wound, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

However, the third suspect, identified as 19-year-old Christopher Hardeyn Baitey from Fultondale, remains at large. Authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of armed robbery, emphasizing the seriousness of the incident.

The Arrested Individuals

The two individuals who were apprehended have been identified as 21-year-old Patrick Underwood and 19-year-old Kendrique Wesley, both hailing from Birmingham. As the investigation unfolds, authorities anticipate additional charges to be brought against the suspects involved in this brazen armed robbery.
