The bodies were found near Zaryab Hotel, located on the Northern Bypass in Manghopir. The authorities have identified one of the deceased as Shah Zaman Ali, son of Ali Nawaz. The identity of the second victim is still being determined through biometric records. Shah Zaman, a resident of Brohi Mohalla in Singulane of Chakiwara, had been reported missing since August 17, 2023. His family had filed an FIR at the Chakiwara police station when he failed to return home after visiting his grandmother in Malir.

Investigation and Medical Examination

West-SSP Dr Hafeezur Rehman Bugti has assured that the incident is under thorough investigation from various angles. The bodies were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal procedures, where police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed determined the cause of death. Shah Zaman had sustained three bullet wounds – one to the head and two to the chest, while the unidentified victim had a single gunshot wound to the head.

Ali Nawaz, the father of Shah Zaman, expressed his grief and disbelief at the tragic loss of his son. He recounted how Shah Zaman had left for his grandmother’s house in Malir and never returned, leaving the family in a state of anguish and uncertainty. The family had been desperately searching for him since his disappearance, only to receive the heartbreaking news of his demise.
