Tragic Shootings Leave Three Dead in New York City

Three individuals, including two teenagers, tragically lost their lives in separate shooting incidents that occurred within 20 minutes of each other across New York City on Sunday evening.

East Harlem Double Shooting

The first shooting took place in East Harlem, with two individuals fatally shot shortly before 7:30 p.m., as reported by the New York Police Department. Upon responding to 911 calls, law enforcement found an 18-year-old female with gunshot wounds to her back and head, as well as an unidentified male with head wounds. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the young woman was sadly pronounced dead. Despite efforts to save him, the male victim succumbed to his injuries around 10 p.m.

The victims were identified as Ashley Ballard and Harry Mendoza, with no arrests made as the investigation continues. The police have not disclosed the specifics of the incident or the motive behind the shooting.

Brooklyn Teen Fatally Shot

In another heartbreaking incident, 17-year-old Bryan Henriquez was fatally shot in Brooklyn’s East Flatbush neighborhood on the same evening. Authorities revealed that Bryan suffered gunshot wounds to his neck and torso, leading to his tragic death after being transported to a local medical facility.

Just like the previous case, the police have not provided details regarding the circumstances surrounding Bryan’s shooting, maintaining that the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
