As a Product Security Analyst Lead at Bungie, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of security analysts to utilize our anti-cheat detections. With your leadership skills, you will amplify the efforts of the analysts to identify individuals who compromise our virtual worlds and disrupt the gaming experiences of our players. You will piece together the clues to create a clear picture and generate reports of evidence that enable Bungie to effectively identify cheaters and ensure fair and honest gameplay. You will serve as an advocate for the analysts, collaborating with our engineering and data scientist sub-teams to enhance our tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of Product Security Analysts, organizing their daily tasks, driving planning for major initiatives, offering mentorship in their craft, and providing career development guidance
• Cultivate a collaborative team culture where everyone is supported and contributes towards shared goals
• Lead investigation campaigns into adversaries and potential vulnerabilities; communicate risks and concerns to leadership and game development teams
• Be the initial point of contact for addressing and resolving technical issues, and when necessary, liaise with external stakeholders to resolve systemic issues

Required Skills

• Demonstrated expertise as a tech-savvy investigator, proficient in gathering information, solving complex problems, conducting thorough monitoring, and capable of coaching these skills
• Ability to establish team KPIs/targets, communicate progress and risks, including staffing and team well-being
• Proven ability to create and deliver conclusive reports that drive action and specific outcomes, and capable of coaching others in this skill
• Aptitude for distilling complex issues, using both partial and comprehensive data sets to validate theories and guide towards effective resolutions
• Proficient in querying relational databases (e.g., SQL), big data services (e.g., Redshift or Big Query), and utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to interpret and present data insights
• Familiarity with the AAA Games Cheating/Security landscape, with a passion for safeguarding player experiences

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in AAA Games Security as a Lead or Senior team member, with a focus on risk-based analysis of anomalies, detection, and response
• Additional language proficiency (e.g., Chinese, Korean, Russian, Japanese, Spanish)

While this role is based in Bellevue with a specified pay range, Bungie allows for remote work in approved locations. The base pay range for this role is $144,000—$165,000 USD for full-time employees in the U.S., with additional benefits such as accrued time-off, paid holidays, and comprehensive healthcare coverage. Employees outside of approved remote work locations may need to establish residency in compliant states within 45 days of starting. Contractors will follow a digital-first approach based on location guidelines agreed upon by Bungie and third-party employers.
