Delhi Eastern Range’s Additional CP Sagar Singh Kalsi stated that a case was registered based on a complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused. Following the assault, locals vandalised the accused’s shop and placed the items on the bonfire for Holika dahan. Despite initial rumors of police inaction, Kalsi assured that necessary actions would be taken. The child, who was hospitalized, is now in stable condition. According to Delhi Eastern Range’s Additional CP Sagar Singh Kalsi, the police were alerted to the sexual assault on the young girl on Saturday. Upon receiving the complaint, law enforcement swiftly sprang into action.
“A case was promptly registered based on the complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused individual,” stated Kalsi.
Response from the Community
Outraged by the heinous crime, locals took matters into their own hands by vandalising the shop owned by the perpetrator. They cleared out the shop and placed the items on a pyre, intended for Holika dahan.

In response to the escalating situation, Kalsi reassured the public that the police were actively involved and that peace had been restored in the area.
