Security forces in Srinagar successfully dismantled a terror module linked to the JeM terrorist group. Four associates were arrested during a joint operation by Srinagar police, 50 RR, Valley QRT, and 29Bn CRPF in the Kenihama area. The apprehended individuals were found in possession of incriminating materials, arms, and ammunition, including an AK 56 rifle, a Glock pistol, and Chinese grenades. The suspects, residents of Lcchambal Zafran Colony and Frestabal Pampore, are currently under investigation. Security Forces Disrupt Terror Module in Srinagar
On a routine patrol in the heart of Srinagar, security forces made a significant breakthrough by dismantling a terror module believed to be associated with the notorious outfit JeM. The incident took place in the Kenihama area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Nowgam police station.
Joint Effort Leads to Arrest of Terror Associates
A joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) team, comprising of Srinagar police, 50 RR, Valley QRT, and 29Bn CRPF, worked tirelessly to establish a strong presence in the area. Their efforts paid off when they intercepted a white Alto vehicle carrying four individuals suspected to be terror associates.
The four apprehended individuals were identified as Md Yaseen Bhat, Sheraz Ahmad Rather, Ghulam Hassan Khandey, and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat. All of them have been taken into custody for further questioning. The incriminating evidence found in their possession included a cache of weapons and ammunition.
Recovery of Arms and Ammunition
During the search operation, security forces recovered 01 AK 56 rifle with 3 Magazines, 75 rounds of 7.62 x 39 mm, 01 Glock Pistol with 2 Magazines, 26 Rounds of 9 mm, and 06 Chinese grenades. These weapons posed a significant threat to the peace and security of the region.
