Arrests Made in Pueblo of Three Wanted Fugitives, Including Homicide Suspect

In a recent police operation in Pueblo, law enforcement officers successfully apprehended three wanted fugitives, one of whom is accused of a homicide in Fort Collins. The arrests took place on Tuesday afternoon, following a series of coordinated efforts by the Pueblo Police Department and the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

Details of the Arrests

The first fugitive, Adrian Pacheco, was taken into custody near the intersection of Colorado and East Evans avenues after a brief foot chase. Pacheco was wanted on several warrants, including a charge of first-degree murder in Fort Collins. The homicide he is accused of committing occurred on March 9, where the victim, identified as 24-year-old Andre Salas, was found unresponsive in the 700 block of Marigold Lane.

Additionally, Alexia Lopez, aged 22, was arrested at a residence on W. Coral Drive in Pueblo. Lopez was wanted on warrants out of Arapahoe County for first-degree attempted homicide and motor vehicle theft. The exact circumstances of the attempted murder were not disclosed in the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office’s release.

The third fugitive, Phillip Campbell, aged 36, was apprehended with the assistance of the Colorado Department of Corrections fugitive officers. Campbell was wanted on a no-bond warrant, along with charges of felony eluding, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and third-degree assault. These charges stemmed from an incident involving Parole Officers and Special Investigation detectives.

Legal Proceedings

Following their arrests, the suspects were advised of their rights in virtual court hearings. Pacheco appeared in Larimer County District Court on Wednesday afternoon and is scheduled for an official first appearance in front of a judge on April 10. Lopez’s rights were also explained in court on Wednesday afternoon in Arapahoe County, with further hearings pending. Campbell’s legal proceedings have not yet been scheduled as of Wednesday afternoon.
