He was targeted by at least two armed suspects while making a delivery in the area of Twinbridge Circle.
Popovich, who had a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon, was near his van when he encountered the armed suspects. A confrontation ensued, resulting in gunfire being exchanged between the victim and one of the suspects, later identified as 21-year-old Trevon Davis of San Pablo.
