The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Shafeekh, a key accused in the 2022 murder case of RSS leader Srinivasan in Kerala. New Delhi, Mar 19 (PTI) – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant breakthrough in the case of the 2022 murder of RSS leader Srinivasan in Kerala. Shafeekh, a key accused who had been on the run since the targeted killing of Srinivasan in Palakkad on April 16, 2022, has been apprehended by the NIA’s absconder tracking team in Kollam district, Kerala.

Shafeekh, who was a prominent member of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI), was taken into custody by the anti-terror agency on Monday for his involvement in the heinous crime. The arrest of Shafeekh sheds light on the intricate web of conspiracy that led to the murder of Srinivasan.

Investigation and Progress in the Case

A total of 71 individuals have been identified as part of the conspiracy, and the NIA has already filed two charge-sheets in the case.
