The bodies of the father-in-law and mother-in-law were discovered inside the gutted house. Anshika Kesarwani, the deceased daughter-in-law, was found hanging in her room. The Tragic Incident in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

A devastating incident unfolded in the Muthiganj area of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh on Monday night, as a couple lost their lives in a horrifying manner. The daughter-in-law’s kin accused them of foul play in her death and allegedly set their house ablaze, leading to a tragic outcome for the family.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Deepak Bhukar revealed that the authorities received distressing news around 11 pm regarding a woman’s suicide in the area. The woman’s relatives then took matters into their own hands and set fire to the house of her in-laws. When the police and firefighting team arrived at the scene, the situation had escalated, with the fire spreading to a furniture godown on the ground floor of the building.

The Heartbreaking Discovery

Amidst the chaos, five individuals were rescued from the burning building, but tragically, the bodies of the father-in-law and mother-in-law were discovered inside the charred remains of the house around 3 am on Tuesday. The victims were identified as the parents of the woman who had taken her own life, adding a layer of sorrow to the already distressing situation.

The deceased woman, Anshika Kesarwani, 24, was found lifeless in her in-law’s residence that fateful night. Anshika, hailing from Jhalwa area, had been married to Anshu Kesarwani in Satti Chaura area of Muthiganj just over a year ago. The sequence of events that followed her tragic end painted a grim picture of family discord and desperation.
