The woman’s relatives then took matters into their own hands and set fire to the house of her in-laws. When the police and firefighting team arrived at the scene, the situation had escalated, with the fire spreading to a furniture godown on the ground floor of the building.

Amidst the chaos, five individuals were rescued from the burning building, but tragically, the bodies of the father-in-law and mother-in-law were discovered inside the charred remains of the house around 3 am on Tuesday. The victims were identified as the parents of the woman who had taken her own life, adding a layer of sorrow to the already distressing situation.

The deceased woman, Anshika Kesarwani, 24, was found lifeless in her in-law’s residence that fateful night. Anshika, hailing from Jhalwa area, had been married to Anshu Kesarwani in Satti Chaura area of Muthiganj just over a year ago.
