Eight people, including three children, tragically lost their lives in Bihar’s Khagaria district when their jeep collided with a tractor early Monday morning. The accident, which occurred near a petrol pump on National Highway 31 in the Pasraha area, also left three others injured. Initial reports suggested nine fatalities and six injuries, but one victim passed away during hospital treatment. The victims were returning from a wedding when the accident happened, with the overloaded tractor being blamed for the collision. The deceased have been identified, and the injured are receiving medical care. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

In a tragic incident that shook the residents of Bihar’s Khagaria district, eight people, including three children, lost their lives in a horrifying collision between their jeep and a tractor on Monday morning. The accident occurred around 5.15 am near a petrol pump on National Highway 31 in the Pasraha area, leaving three others injured.

The initial reports suggested that nine individuals had perished in the accident, with six more sustaining injuries. However, as per the latest statement released by the police, seven people died on the spot, while one more passed away while receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The three injured individuals have been rushed to the Bhagalpur district hospital for advanced medical care.

According to the authorities, the victims were returning from a wedding event when the tragic accident took place. The jeep they were travelling in collided head-on with an overloaded tractor, leading to the devastating loss of lives. Among the deceased were identified as Gautam Kumar (10), Prakash Singh (60), Monu Kumar (11), Aman Kumar (19), Bunty Kumar (22), Anshu Kumar (22), Villo Kumar (5), and Paltu Thakur (65).

The injured survivors have been identified as Sachit Thakur, Dharmendra Kumar, and Kundan Kumar, all of whom are currently receiving medical attention in the hospital. An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with residents expressing their grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in the unfortunate accident.
