Tragic Drug Overdose Death of Toddler in St. Louis County, Missouri

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 4-year-old girl named Sanaa Riggins tragically lost her life over the weekend in Jennings, Missouri. The young child was found unresponsive in her father’s bed on Cozens Avenue, with signs of a drug overdose.

Discovery of Overdose

The harrowing incident took place just after 6:20 p.m., prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Despite efforts to save her, Sanaa was rushed to St. Louis Children’s Hospital but sadly succumbed to the overdose just before 7:30 p.m.

Heroin Capsules Found

Upon investigation, the St. Louis County Police Department discovered several capsules of heroin within the home. Shockingly, Sanaa’s father, who had legal custody of her due to her mother’s drug use, showed no signs of drug involvement.

Mother’s Admission
