Philadelphia police have provided new details about two suspects involved in the shooting that tragically took the life of 17-year-old Imhotep Charter High School student, Dayemen Taylor. The incident occurred on March 4 at a bus stop in the city’s Ogontz neighborhood, where multiple individuals were injured.
Surveillance Footage Captures Suspects
Authorities have shared surveillance footage showing one of the suspects wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words “DON’T GET EMOTIONAL IT’S ONLY BROKEN PROMISES” on the back and “EMOTIONAL” on the front. The individual is also seen wearing dark-colored pants and a mask. The second suspect was spotted wearing a light-colored hooded jacket, dark-colored pants, and a mask.

Suspects Considered Armed and Dangerous
Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Commissioner Kevin Bethel stated that the two gunmen approached the block and began firing around 3:45 p.m., resulting in the tragic loss of life and injuries to others.
Connection to Another Shooting
Just two days after the Ogontz shooting, another incident occurred at Cottman and Rising Sun avenues in Burholme, where eight Northeast High School students were shot. Three suspects have been apprehended in connection with that shooting, with authorities investigating a potential link between the two incidents.
