The suspects, identified as Bless Namanya, Ibrahim Karungi, Isaac Karungi, Robert Sserugo, Matovu Ibra alias Black, and Ben Byaruhanga, were captured from various locations in Kampala, including Lugoba, Katooke, Tuula, Kyebando, and Nsoba. Additionally, popular spots like Los Angeles and Club Oasis, which are believed to be frequented by gang members, were also part of the police operation.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy spokesperson, “These individuals had been released from prison on different charges because bail had been paid or they had completed sentences.” This operation is a clear indication of law enforcement’s commitment to tackling organized crime and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
