Man Kills Wife and Daughter After Monetary Dispute, Surrenders Before Pune Police
A tragic incident unfolded in Katraj area of Pune, where a 45-year-old man took the lives of his wife and daughter in a fit of rage. The accused, Ajay Tilewale, a resident of Lake Vista Society in Datta Nagar, Ambegaon, surrendered to the police the following day.

Details of the Incident
According to police reports, the gruesome incident occurred on a fateful Friday night. Ajay Tilewale, who works at a private company, allegedly killed his wife, Shweta (36), and daughter, Shiroli (16), following a heated argument. The couple had been embroiled in a series of disputes, with financial issues at the forefront of their disagreements.
On the night in question, a verbal altercation between Ajay and his wife escalated into a violent confrontation. In a fit of rage, Ajay attacked his wife with a knife while she slept, inflicting fatal wounds by slitting her wrist. Tragically, he then turned his aggression towards his daughter, ending her life with the same weapon before suffocating her with a pillow.
Surrender and Arrest
On the following morning, Ajay Tilewale made a harrowing confession at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police station, detailing the events that transpired the previous night. In response, a police team swiftly arrived at the scene, discovering the lifeless bodies of the victims in the family’s flat. The accused was promptly arrested for his heinous actions.
Senior Police Inspector Dashrath Patil shed light on the motive behind the double murder, attributing it to longstanding family disputes between husband and wife. Ajay’s decision to approach the authorities and admit to the crime served as a shocking revelation in the tight-knit community.
