Indian-Origin Family Killed in Suspicious Fire in Canada
Canada news: An Indian-origin couple and their teenage daughter tragically lost their lives in a devastating fire that ravaged their home in Ontario, Canada. The Peel Police confirmed the heartbreaking incident on Friday, revealing that the fire occurred on Thursday at the Big Sky Way and Van Kirk Drive area of Brampton.
Following the extinguishing of the blaze, investigators discovered what appeared to be human remains within the burnt house. The identities of the victims were later confirmed to be 51-year-old Rajiv Warikoo, his 47-year-old wife Shilpa Kotha, and their 16-year-old daughter Mahek Warikoo.

Authorities stated that the family resided in the home prior to the fire, which is now being treated as suspicious. Peel Police Constable Taryn Young declared the fire as non-accidental, indicating that the Ontario Fire Marshal concurred with this assessment.
Investigation Ongoing
Young emphasized that the police homicide bureau is currently investigating the incident. She expressed the challenges of determining the cause of the fire due to the extensive damage, but assured that all leads are being pursued diligently.
Neighbour Kenneth Yousaf shared that the family had been part of the community for 15 years and had no apparent issues. He recounted hearing a loud noise before discovering the engulfed house, expressing profound sadness over the loss.
In a public statement, the police urged anyone with relevant information or video footage to come forward and assist in the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the fire remain a top priority for the authorities, as they seek to uncover the truth behind this tragic event.
