Army Jawan Arrested for Murder of Lover’s Husband in Pimpri-Chinchwad

In a recent incident that has shocked the residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad, an Army jawan has been arrested for the brutal murder of his lover’s husband. The victim, identified as Rahul Sudam Gadekar (36) from Narhe Ambegaon, met with a tragic end near Kuruli village while on his way to his night shift in Chakan on February 23.

Suspects Apprehended

Following intensive investigations, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police arrested the prime suspect, Suresh Motabhau Patole (35) from Dehugaon, along with two other accomplices. The arrests also included Rahul’s wife, Supriya Gadekar (30), and Patole’s alleged partner-in-crime, Rohidas Namdev Sonawane (32) from Sangamner in Ahmednagar district.

Details of the Crime

It was revealed during the probe that Rahul had suffered fatal head injuries caused by a blunt object. Initially, an FIR was filed at the Alandi Police Station against unknown assailants. However, with the subsequent arrest of the suspects, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place.

Background of the Perpetrators

Further investigations shed light on the backstory of the individuals involved. Supriya, who had previously worked as a nurse at Navale Hospital, had taken up a job at a laboratory in Nimgaon Paga village during the pandemic. It was here that she crossed paths with Patole, leading to a clandestine relationship between them.

Motive Behind the Murder

The strained relationship between Supriya and Rahul, marked by frequent arguments, allegedly drove Supriya and Patole to hatch a sinister plan against Rahul. The tragic consequences of their actions have now come to light, resulting in their apprehension by the authorities.

Legal Proceedings

As the investigation continues, Supriya has been remanded to police custody until March 18, while the other two suspects will remain in custody until March 19 as per the orders of a Pune court.
