Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves 72-Year-Old Man Injured in Manchester Township

A single-vehicle crash occurred in Manchester Township, New Jersey, on Friday, March 15, 2024, resulting in injuries to a 72-year-old man and prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities. The incident took place at approximately 6:23 pm at the intersection of Pinewald Keswick Road and Crestwood Parkway, where officers from the Manchester Township Police Department quickly responded after receiving reports of the crash.

Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered a grey 2010 Cadillac Escalade with significant front-end damage. The vehicle had veered off the roadway of Pinewald Keswick Road, colliding with a traffic sign, a utility pole support wire, a signboard, and finally, a tree along the northbound shoulder of the road.

The driver of the Cadillac was identified as Pasquale Foggio, a resident of Manchester, NJ. Foggio sustained injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Hospital for medical treatment and evaluation. Fortunately, his condition is stable, and he is currently receiving the necessary care.

An investigation into the crash is currently underway, with initial findings suggesting that a potential medical event may have been the primary cause of the incident. Ptl. Brendan Brush from the Manchester Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash.

Assistance at the scene was provided by Emergency Medical Technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, the Joint Base Fire Department, paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Life-Flight Medevac Helicopter, and Priced Rite Towing.

As the investigation continues and cleanup efforts take place, the roadway was partially closed to ensure the safety of responders and motorists. Updates on the case will be provided as more information becomes available.
