Despite being wanted in Massachusetts, Martin was located in West Hartford and faced the consequences of his actions. Connecticut State Police worked in conjunction with West Hartford police to halt Martin’s vehicle as he attempted to enter Interstate 84 east. However, Martin chose not to comply with the authorities’ instructions, leading to a pursuit.

The situation escalated when West Hartford police successfully used tire deflation devices, causing three out of four tires on Martin’s vehicle to flatten. Eventually, the vehicle came to a halt on Interstate 84 east near Sisson Avenue in Hartford.

Martin, the driver, continued to resist the officers’ orders, prompting the police to forcefully remove him from the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, law enforcement discovered narcotics and drug packaging/equipment, including powder cocaine, ‘crack’ cocaine, and heroin.

He was slapped with charges such as possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of a controlled substance (second offense), interfering with an officer, engaging police in pursuit, reckless driving, illegal tints, and failure to wear a seat belt.

With a total bond set at $750,000, Martin was due to appear before a judge in Hartford to address the array of charges against him.
