In Evansville, Indiana, a bizarre incident unfolded early Friday morning when a man was arrested for crashing a stolen CSX vehicle. The events transpired at the intersection of Morgan Ave. and Green River Road, where EPD officers responded to a two-vehicle accident just after 6:30 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances

A CSX supervisor arrived at the scene and confirmed that Myers was not an employee and did not have authorization to operate the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from the CSX yard on Dixie Flyer Road earlier that morning.

Arrest and Charges

As a result of the stolen vehicle and Myers’ misleading statements, he was promptly arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. He faces a charge of auto theft and is being held on a $500 bond.
