Man Shot in Head in Front of Children at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis

A shocking incident occurred at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis around 5 p.m. on Friday, where a man was shot in the head in front of his young children. Minneapolis police are currently on the lookout for the perpetrator responsible for this heinous act.

Upon receiving a report of a shooting, officers rushed to the scene at George Floyd Square. They discovered a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle on the 4100 block of Chicago Avenue. The victim was swiftly transported to Hennepin County Medical Center for urgent medical attention, as his injuries were deemed life-threatening.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman, decided to pull over after driving for four blocks post the incident. Police believe that the shooting occurred following an altercation between the victim and the suspect.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara highlighted the fact that the victim’s children, who are very young, were present in the car during the shooting. Fortunately, the children remained unharmed throughout the ordeal. The exact ages of the children have not been disclosed at this time.
