Joey Ray Dunn, a 54-year-old resident of Towanda, has been charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.16 or higher. The incident occurred on Feb. 3, 2024. In addition to the DUI charge, Dunn also faces charges of careless driving, failure to keep right, and failure to obey traffic-control devices.

According to court documents, the Towanda Borough Police officers observed Dunn making a wide right turn on the 500 block of Main Street in Towanda. They followed his vehicle and noticed several erratic driving behaviours, including speeding and crossing the double yellow line multiple times.

Dunn admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving and consented to a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he allegedly failed.
