Belnavis has been in custody in California since his arrest on Monday near the San Diego Zoo, following a multi-state manhunt triggered by the double murder of Connecticut Army National Guard member Chastity Nuñez and her young daughter, Zella.
The Worcester Police Department has shared new images of Dejan Belnavis, who has been evading law enforcement since the fatal shooting of Nuñez and her daughter in Worcester, Massachusetts on March 5. The mother and daughter were sitting in their parked SUV when they were targeted by two gunmen.
Karel Mangual, aged 28, was arrested the day after the shooting and charged with Armed Assault to Murder and Carrying a Firearm without a License. He was also found to have a preexisting arrest warrant.
