Accident – Death – Obituary News : The recent incident on a packed New York City metro train has left many shocked and deeply upset. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that Younece Obuad, a passenger on the train, will not face charges for shooting Dajuan Robinson, who allegedly attacked him.

According to reports, Obuad, a 32-year-old father of two, acted in self-defence when Robinson, 36, allegedly started attacking him inside the train. The incident, which was captured on video, showed Obuad lying on the stairs of the rail station with a police officer standing over him, while Robinson was seen bleeding on the floor of the train.

Thomas Kenniff, a lawyer who represented a former marine in a similar subway incident last year, commended the decision to not press charges against Obuad. He stated, “I applaud the Brooklyn district attorney for exercising prosecutorial discretion in this case. It is important to recognize when someone is forced to defend themselves and others.”

The altercation between Obuad and Robinson reportedly escalated when Robinson brandished a knife before revealing a gun. A scuffle ensued, resulting in at least four shots being fired. Robinson sustained gunshot wounds to his right eye, neck, and chest, as well as being stabbed twice in the back. He is currently in critical condition at the hospital.

The incident has raised concerns about safety on the New York City subway system, with Kenniff highlighting the need for individuals to be able to defend themselves in such situations. He referred to a previous case where his client, a former marine, was prosecuted for defending himself and others on the subway.

Overall, the decision not to press charges against Obuad has been met with mixed reactions, with some praising the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office for recognizing the need for self-defence in certain situations. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, but for now, Obuad remains free after being questioned by authorities..
