Uzbek Woman Found Dead in Bengaluru Hotel Room

The city of Bengaluru, India, was shaken by a tragic incident as authorities discovered the lifeless body of a woman from Uzbekistan in one of the local hotels. The victim, identified as Zareena from the Kashkadarya region, was born in 1997. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi has swiftly intervened to handle the situation.

The Uzbek embassy has promptly reached out to local law enforcement authorities in Bengaluru to gain clarity on the circumstances surrounding Zareena’s demise. The embassy is actively cooperating with officials to uncover the facts leading up to the incident.

Investigation Details

Preliminary investigations suggest that on March 13, Zareena was found lifeless in her room at the Jagadish Hotel in Bengaluru. The cause of her death is still under scrutiny as official organizations delve deeper into the matter. The consular department of the Uzbek diplomatic mission has taken charge of overseeing the investigative process.

Family Assistance and Plea for Information

Efforts are currently underway to establish communication with the family members of the deceased in order to provide necessary consular and legal assistance. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi has issued a plea for anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and reach out to the consular section through various communication channels.

Previous Incident in Sonepat

This unfortunate event in Bengaluru echoes a similar occurrence in January 2024 when another Uzbek woman’s body was discovered in a resort in Sonepat, Haryana, India. Authorities in that case suspected carbon monoxide poisoning as the cause of death for the 32-year-old victim.

“Forensic experts were called to the spot. They inspected the room and collected evidence. We also recovered a liquor bottle and certain other things from the room. Himanshu’s family members have reached the spot and their statements are being recorded,” said Sonepat Sadar police station in-charge Karamjit Singh.
