Teenager from Tennessee Suspected in San Jacinto High Bomb Threats

A shocking series of bomb threats have been made against San Jacinto High in Riverside County, California, and a teenager from Tennessee has been identified as a suspect, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Threats and Investigations

The threats began on March 5 and continued until Wednesday, March 13. In each instance, deputies conducted thorough searches of the school premises but found no evidence of any actual bombs, as stated in a news release. After a detailed investigation, a 16-year-old from Dyer, Tennessee, was linked to some of the threats, with efforts now underway to identify the perpetrator behind two other threats.

Authorities have wasted no time in pursuing justice, sending a report to law enforcement in Tennessee for the prosecution of the teenage suspect. The severity of such threats cannot be underestimated, and swift action is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of students and staff.

Out-of-State Threats

While it may seem unusual, threats targeting schools from out of state are not uncommon. Earlier this year, youths as young as 12 were arrested in Illinois after students in Florida reported receiving threatening text messages involving shootings and bombings, as reported by Orlando television station Fox/35.

On-Campus Incidents

Amid the heightened tensions caused by the bomb threats, further disruptions occurred on Wednesday when fights broke out on the school campus. Two students were subsequently arrested on charges of battery and resisting arrest, according to Sgt. Deirdre Vickers, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department.
