Man tragically killed in elephant attack in Gudalur

Tragedy struck the town of Gudalur when a 44-year-old man, identified as Prasanth from Periya, lost his life in a devastating elephant attack. The incident took place in Oveli late on Thursday night, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Prasanth was returning home after visiting a nearby temple around 10:45 pm when the wild elephant, believed to have come from the adjacent forest, attacked him. The sudden and ferocious nature of the attack left the locals stunned and helpless.

Following the attack, Prasanth was rushed to the Gudalur district headquarters hospital for emergency treatment.
