“Nadia Vitel Found Dead in NYC Apartment: Police Investigating”

A tragic discovery was made in a New York City apartment as the body of a 52-year-old woman was found stuffed inside a duffle bag, according to reports.

Authorities were called to the scene on East 31st Street in Kips Bay, Manhattan after receiving a welfare check request on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. local time. The woman, identified as Nadia Vitel, was pronounced dead on-site.

Family members raised the alarm when they were unable to reach Vitel, prompting a police investigation. Her son and the building’s superintendent were present when her body was uncovered.

Surveillance footage from the apartment building captured Vitel entering on March 10. Additional video footage shows two unidentified individuals entering the building on the same day, as confirmed by the police.

During a search of the premises, police reportedly found some of Vitel’s personal belongings near the building’s garbage disposal area.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, with the city’s medical examiner involved in determining the cause of death, according to reports.
